Quarantine Information When Moving to WA

When you are moving a shipping container with your household items to Western Australia from any other state in Australia, you will be required to fill in a Unaccompanied Personal Effects Quarantine document declaring all the potentially prohibited items that you will be bringing into the state. We will email the form you need to fill in to you when you confirm your booking. You complete the form and return it to us and we will forward it on the Department of Agriculture and Food on your behalf and also facilitate any necessary inspections.

Items that need to be declared include:

  • Fruits and Vegetables
  • Plants / Flowers
  • Seeds
  • Honey
  • Fresh Nuts
  • Soil / Landscaping Products
  • Motor vehicles
  • Garden Tools and Machinery

Changes in procedures and rates for Quarantine WA

In mid-2013, Quarantine WA advised us of a few changes in the way that they deal with moving containers entering the state.
If you are unsure of any of the following, you can contact Quarantine WA on 08 9334 1814 or go to their page at Department of Agriculture and Food - Western Australia.

Quarantine WA prefers that any items that may need to be inspected (including cars, motorbikes and ride-on mowers) are packed as close as possible to the doors of the container in case an inspection is required.

  • If the Quarantine department requests an inspection of any incoming container, it will be diverted to a BSPC storage depot where the inspection will take place. This will incur an additional transport charge of $250.

Please note, we do not transport 10ft containers
