New WA Quarantine Guidelines

Changes in procedures and rates for Quarantine WA
In mid 2013, Quarantine WA advised us of a few changes in the way that they deal with containers entering the state. If you are unsure of any of the following, you can contact Quarantine WA on 08 9334 1814 or go to the page at Department of Agriculture and Food - Western Australia

Quarantine WA prefers that any items that may need to be inspected (including cars, motorbikes and ride on mowers) are packed as close as possible to the doors of the container in case an inspection is required.

If an inspection is performed at Budget Self Pack Containers Kenwick yard, there is no charge as long as nothing needs to be cleaned.

If an inspection is required anywhere up to 25km from the Quarantine WA office at Perth Airport, there is no charge as long as nothing needs to be cleaned.

If an inspection is required anywhere further than 25km from the Quarantine WA office at Perth Airport, there is a travel charge of approximately $50 per 25km. It is their preference that inspections at locations greater than 25km out are performed at the Kenwick yard.
