Moving a motorcycle interstate

One of our past customers has kindly provided the following tips on packing a motorcycle in a shipping container. Thanks to Phil who moved from Newcastle to Perth with us. Read what Phil had to say here.

Before the moving container arrives

Unless you are a frequent mover, you may have accumulated a pile of stuff that is used infrequently if ever. A major move is the perfect time to have that big clean out. Read our recent blog post about decluttering here. We recommend getting in a skip either before the container arrives or at the same time. The more you try to squeeze into a container, the longer it is going to take to pack and the more packaging materials you will need. As a leading container removals provider between Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart and Perth, we can offer a removalist experience second to none.

Packaging materials for moving interstate

Depending on where you are moving from and to, you may receive furniture blankets, boxes, ropes and a trolley. These are not everything you will need to pack your home into a container. To do the job properly, it is recommended that you have lots of corrugated cardboard, packing tape, tissue paper and newspaper, small and large boxes, heavy plastic wraps for mattresses.

Please note, we do not transport 10ft containers
